I know this is a little off topic but I think that is a great thing for people and corporations especially to recycle. This conversation reminded me of my last snowboarding trip to Truckee, California. While I was out there I kept seeing signs for "Keep California Green" and I never really knew what they meant. I just thought that they had to do with picking up your trash and not to litter in the beautiful mountains of California. But I remember snowboarding at North Star and their one terrain park which was called "The Stash" which is made out of all wood. Usually in typical terrain parks, jumps and rails are made out of metal or concrete but in this unique one they built it out of huge red oaks. Check out this photo on the North Star website. Keep it Green
I was sitting in my Operations Management class the over day and we were doing our final presentations on our projects. Then the topic came up about recycling and how major corporations are trying to "Keep Things Green". They want to keep their costs down and recycling will help them do this. But they also have a social responsibility to the environment and instead of keep using resources over and over, reuse and recycle so we can save the environment.
